Obituary
Ann E. Dolan, of Winchester, daughter of the late Dr. William Dolan and Ellen (Good) Dolan, died peacefully on October 8, 2010 at the age of 87. Her sisters Julie Downes and Mary Dolan, her brother John Dolan and her nephew John Dolan Jr. predeceased her. She is survived by her brother Joseph Dolan of Milton, her brother-in-law Richard Downes of Stoneham, her sister-in-law Janice Dolan of Winchester, 16 loving nieces and nephews, 19 great-nieces and nephews, as well as 7 great-grand nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Wheelock College with a Master's degree from Boston University, Ann spent her entire career teaching kindergarten in the Winchester Public Schools. Active in church and community affairs, Ann for many years volunteered at the Jenks Center in Winchester.
Her funeral will be held from the Costello Funeral home, 177 Washington St., Winchester on Wed. Oct. 13th at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tues. from 4-7PM. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
