Obituary
Carol E. Swanson, 77 of Winchester, MA passed away in her home Monday June 5, 2017 surrounded by her family.
A longtime resident of Winchester, Carol was born in Milford, CT, and is survived by her husband of 56 years, Donald. She is also survived by her children Ralph Swanson of Salem, MA and his wife Laura, Diana DeGregorio of Merrimack, NH and her husband Philip, and David Swanson of Pompey, NY and his wife Cathie. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Michael, Andrew, Joseph, Jack, Ben, Grace, Elizabeth, and Anne, sisters Anna Devon and her late husband Richard, Waldine Wheeless and her husband Leon, Margaret Sitts and her husband Joseph, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Edward Jones.
Carol passed her love of gardening and flowers to her children and grandchildren, and for over 30 years was an early childhood teacher.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Parish of the Epiphany, 70 Church St., Winchester, at 1 pm, on Saturday, June 10. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carol's name to the Children's Center of Lexington Scholarship Fund, 1580 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA 02420.
