Catherine Ann (Stoffey) Casciari, 89, passed away peacefully on May 24th at the Winchester Nursing Center in Winchester, Massachusetts. She was the beloved wife of the late Raoul J. Casciari, who preceded her in death in 2017.

Born in Jessup, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Youshock) Stoffey.

Catherine dedicated her life to her family as a devoted homemaker and the consummate caregiver. Whether she was tending to her husband, her children, grandchildren, or her in-laws, she consistently placed the needs and well-being of others above her own. She lovingly opened her home to others, boarding family, friends and neighbors in time of need. She was the heart of her family, a patient, understanding mother whose door was always open to provide wise counsel and a listening ear, regardless of the hour or circumstance.

Though she did not formally attend college, Catherine was a lifelong, passionate learner with an insatiable appetite for reading. Her remarkably broad knowledge made her a formidable trivia opponent, a trait perfectly complemented by her wonderful sense of humor. While living in Corning, NY she actively shared her time and talents by teaching CCD, playing in local golf and bowling leagues, and establishing herself as an accomplished bridge player. She loved living in New Hampshire, where she hosted many family gatherings and enjoyed spending time with her four grandchildren.

Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Raoul, her parents, as well as her sisters Mary Medenski, Eleanor Wagner, and Anna Voroscak, and her brothers John, Joseph, Peter, and Stephen Stoffey.

She is survived by her daughter, Renee Casciari; her sons, Joseph Casciari and Jon Casciari; and her four beloved grandchildren, William, Anna, Colin, and Meah. She will be missed dearly, and her memory will be carried forward by her family, including nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Winchester Nursing Center for their compassionate care during Catherine's time there.

Following her wishes, Catherine will be cremated. A private family memorial will be held later to celebrate her life.
