Christopher Theodore Demopoulos

Christopher Theodore Demopoulos, 65, of Woburn, MA, sadly passed away on June 18, 2026, at Winchester Hospital, after an aggressive battle with cancer, throughout which he remained strong and stoic.

Born on April 19, 1961, and raised and educated in Somerville, MA, Chris was the loving son of the late Ted and Ida Demopoulos.

Just weeks away from retirement after 40 years of custodial work at MIT Cambridge, Chris was also recently recognized for 25 years of dedicated service at Stop & Shop. Working 5 to 7 days a week, transitioning from days at MIT to nights at Stop & Shop, he was truly a hard and dedicated worker.

In his free time, Chris enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, working out, going out to eat, and spending time at the beach. He was a great friend to all who knew him. His warm smile and quick wit always made people laugh, and he was truly the life of the party. Chris planned on traveling, and his dream was to go to California with his brother to travel along the coast. Unfortunately, he did not get the chance.

Chris is lovingly survived by his siblings Lisa, Lenny, and Michael, and leaves behind his nieces Leigha and Emily; his nephews Christopher and Matt, and his best friends Brenda and Jim. Chris will be incredibly missed by his family and friends. He was so very loved.
