Elizabeth "Bettie" C. (Farquharson) Donaghey, age 89, of The Villages, FL, formerly a longtime resident of Winchester, MA, passed away on April 19, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth V. Donaghey. Born in Montreal, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Myrtle (Edison) Farquharson. The mother of seven, she worked as a secretary in the banking industry while raising their family. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, golf and spending time at her lake house. She is lovingly survived by her children: Kenneth A. Donaghey (Nancy) of Litchfield, NH, Ian R. Donaghey of Pelham, NH, Eric J. Donaghey (Mary Anne) of Reading, MA, Timothy P. Donaghey (Megan) of El Dorado Hills, CA, Scott W. Donaghey (Christine) of Reading, MA, Theresa E. DeCarli (Benjamin) of Litchfield, NH, Matthew T. (Cherilyn) of Methuen, MA, and, and 19 grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, Ryan Edison Donaghey. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visit briefly with the family at Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, MA on Friday, April 23 from 2 - 4, and are asked to wear masks, enter through the front door and practice social distancing. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
