Florence A. (Sullivan) Martin, age 95, a longtime resident of Winchester, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026 following a brief illness.

Born in Boston in 1930, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Dorothy A. (Day) Sullivan. She put herself through Northeastern University working for the New England Telephone Co as a secretary. She worked her way up there to management and retired from Ma Bell in 1988. A devout Catholic, she was a faithful parishioner of St. Mary Parish in Winchester.

Florence was the loving mother of Gary Martin of Arlington, Judith Martin of Tucson, AZ, and Thomas Martin, Jr. of Oakland, CA. She was the cherished grandmother of Timothy, Taylor, Nicholas, Emma, Julia, and Moses and great-grandmother of Milo and Ivan. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Thomas H. Martin, her daughter, Dr. Susan D. Goodrich, and her sister, Geraldine Sullivan.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather at the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Monday, February 23 at 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
