Obituary
Judith Lee "Judy" (Hartnett) Shaw – age 75, of Medford, formerly a long-time resident of Winchester, passed away on May 4, 2019. She was the beloved wife of 53 years of Francis J. Shaw.
Born and raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Luella (Wilson) Hartnett. She was a graduate of Somerville High School. Mrs. Shaw and her husband made their home in Winchester, where they raised their four children, and she was a secretary at the Ambrose School in Winchester for many years.
In addition to her husband, Francis, she leaves behind her children: Melissa Shaw Luna and her husband Chris of Brentwood, CA, Mark Shaw and his wife Stephanie of Wayne, PA, Robyn Shaw and her husband Mark Kozak of Telluride, CO and David Shaw and his wife Marlene of Winchester. She was also the dear sister of Barry Hartnett of CA, and is further lovingly survived by her grandchildren: Alexander, Kevin, Matthew, Gerritt, Samantha, Caroline, Darin, Bryce, Finley-Jane, and Payton.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather at Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Thurs., May 9 from 4-8 PM and again on Friday at 9AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church 155 Washington St., Winchester, at 10AM. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105. www.stjude.org.
