Obituary
Lorraine M. (Shackford) Staniewicz, - a 45-year resident of Winchester, passed away Feb. 21st. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Earl W. and Rose M. (Cook) Shackford. A graduate of Lexington High School, she was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening. She grew all kinds of flowers and could be always be found outside in the garden or with her cats. She also played ladies softball and was a member of a ladies bowling league. Lorraine was the wife of Alexander Staniewicz, and the loving mother of Alexander "Sandy" Jr. of Jupiter, FL, Brian of Wilmington , Gail Buzzotta of Nashua, NH and the late Paul Staniewicz. Lorraine was also the sister of the late Marie Lucas, and is further survived by 4 grandchildren. Her Funeral will be held from the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester on Tues. Feb. 24th at 9AM followed by A Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester at 10AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Mon. from 2-4 & 6-8PM. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. In lieu of flowers donations in Lorraine's memory may be made to CMARC, 147 New Boston St. Woburn, MA 01801 www.cmarc.org.
