Lynda E. (Erb) Scully, age 76, of Medford, formerly of Winchester, passed away on March 31, 2026, lovingly surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife for 29 years of Michael D. Scully, until his death in 2013.
Lynda was raised and educated in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School. She attended Bunker Hill Community College and worked for many years as the Director of Respiratory at Lawrence Memorial. She went on to retire from Winchester Hospital and then serve as the Program Coordinator for the Department of Elder Affairs.
In her spare time, Lynda enjoyed traveling. As enthusiastic beachgoers, she and Michael vacationed in Jamaica for 10 days every year. Over the years, they familiarized themselves with the locals and, of course, loved dining at the restaurants and visiting the tourist destinations there. Lynda also loved dogs and could often be found with one by her side.
Lynda is lovingly survived by her children: Richard Mobbs, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Londonderry, NH, David Mobbs and his girlfriend Kim Volpe of Tewksbury, Jason Mobbs and his wife Laura of Moyock, NC and Lynda B. Wallace and her husband Andrew of Woburn. She was the devoted grandmother of Zackery Mobbs, Alana Mobbs, Ashley Cimino, Mackenzie Mobbs, Jackson Mobbs and Camron Wallace.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for Visiting Hours at the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Tuesday, April 7, from 4-7PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 8, at 10AM at the First Congregational Church in Winchester, 21 Church St. (on the Common). Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend and are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lynda’s name may be made to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm 400 Broadway, Methuen MA 01844. www.mspca.org
