Obituary
Marilyn (Nelson) Georgis, age 75, passed away April 15, 2010. Born, raised and educated in Monson, ME, she was the daughter of the late Arthur P. and Ebba (Bjork) Nelson. A homemaker, Mrs. Georgis was a 45-year resident of Winchester, where she was active in many local organizations, including the EnKa Society, the Winchester Garden Club, the Women of Epiphany at the Parish of the Epiphany and the Meals on Wheels program sponsored by the Jenks Senior Center. She was the beloved wife of Joseph D. Georgis, and the loving mother of Daoud J. Georgis of Tampa, FL and Afaf Georgis of Winchester. Marilyn was also the devoted grandmother of Leith T. and Chana C. Foley, Stefan J., Lucas G. and Matthew P. Georgis. A Memorial Service will be held at the Parish of the Epiphany, 70 Church St. Winchester, MA 01890, on Thursday, April 22 at 3PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marilyn's memory may be made to the Altar Guild at the Parish of the Epiphany.
