Obituary

Maryann lived in Winchester since 1979. She grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts in a multi-unit home occupied by many family members including her sister Dorothy, cousins Virginia, Danny and Eddie and close friends Eva and Donna. Her parents were John King and Rose Figueiredo King. She graduated with a degree in accounting from Suffolk University and went to work at Coopers & Lybrand in Boston where she met Walter, her husband for 49 years. She later worked for W.R. Grace for over 20 years.

Maryann loved to cook and bake and feed her family and friends. At holidays in Winchester or at cookouts in Fairhaven or at delivered meals to Cambridge and Waltham everyone always enjoyed the results of her skills in the kitchen. Maryann also enjoyed reading and could not walk out of any store that had a book department without buying several books. She also loved Christmas shopping and buying presents for her many nieces and nephews. Maryann loved her home in Winchester and summer cottage in Fairhaven. Most of all she loved her family and friends.

Maryann is survived by her husband Walter, sister Dorothy and their extended family members.

Relatives and friends are welcome to gather for a visitation in the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Saturday, May 16th at 8:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Winchester, at 10AM. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation give.michaeljfox.org
