Obituary

Melissa A. (Marasca) Errico “Missy”, age 64, a lifelong resident of Woburn, passed away on May 28, 2026, lovingly surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife for 29 years of the late Richard R. “Dicky” Errico, Jr. until his death in 2011.

Born raised and educated in Woburn, Missy was a graduate of Woburn High School with the class of 1980. In 1982 she married the love of her life, Dicky Errico, and together they built their life raising their children in the town they loved.

Missy followed her natural calling and worked as a waitress at several local restaurants, notably always Italian establishments, where the patrons relished her expressive storytelling and uninhibited custom of speaking with her hands. She spent 18 years at Felicia’s of the North End in Stoneham and had also worked at Sabatino’s in Wakefield and Giacomo’s in Melrose. Over the years, her customers and co-workers unsurprisingly became lifelong friends.

Missy loved being the center of attention, dancing, and, most of all, spending time with her family. Her children laughingly explained how they celebrated her birthday for two months every year. She loved the beach and in her spare time could often be found at Long Beach in Gloucester.

Missy was the devoted mother of Richard R. “Ricky” Errico, III and his wife Shannon of Whitman, Rachel Motta and her husband James of Woburn, and the cherished grandmother of Harper, Hunter and Hazel Errico and James Motta. She was the dear sister of Peggy Marasca Errico and Lou Arthur Marasca and the adored aunt of Charlie, Jason, Adam, Samantha, Candi, Kimberly, Kenny, Jr., Ashley, Timmy, Jr., Jake and Jordan. She also leaves behind countless childhood friends that became family.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 2-6PM followed by a Celebration of Life at the Sons of Italy, 117 Swanton St., Winchester, from 6-10PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
