Costello Funeral Home
10:00 am - 12:00 pm (Eastern time)
Peggy Fong, age 77, of Winchester, Massachusetts, passed away on July 3, 2026, at Beth Israel Lahey Hospital, in Burlington, Massachusetts, where she died while fighting to recover from injuries sustained during an unfortunate accident at her home.
Born on April 19, 1949, in Chengdu, China, she was the daughter of Ray and Colleen Fong.
Peggy was truly one of a kind. Her light shone brightly wherever she went and with everyone she interacted with. She approached life full of humor and generosity and built a successful career in real estate through sharp intuition and a keen eye for potential. However, her greatest and most valued investment was her family. She balanced her busy career with unconditional love for her children who she taught the value of hard work, independence, and resilience, with an emphasis on health and wellbeing, always leading by example.
Her love of music led her to monumental experiences such as interviewing Paul McCartney as he stepped off the plane at KaiTak airport, and hosting Soundbeat TV in Hong Kong where she frequently sang and danced to tunes such as Carol King’s “I Feel the Earth Move”, and Nancy Sinatra’s “Boots” in the late 70s.
She leaves behind a legacy of strength and a family that will miss her every single day. Peggy is survived by her mother, Colleen, her loving children, Prima, Brian, and Michael, and her grandson, Aiden, who will all carry her adventurous spirit forward.
A celebration of her life and legacy will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, July 11th, 2026, at the Costello funeral home, 177 Washington St., in Winchester Massachusetts, followed by a procession to the Wildwood Cemetery for burial services.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations on her behalf to The Wish Project www.thewishproject.org,THON https://donate.thon.org, or to the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center https://bcnc.net.
