Obituary
Richard W. Bird, a 37-year resident of Winchester, passed away unexpectedly, Jan. 28. Born in Medford, he was the son of the late Russell W. and Helen (Rand) Bird. Mr. Bird was a 1957 graduate of Medford High School, and the owner of Bird Engineering, from which he retired seven years ago. In his spare time, Dick enjoyed fishing, cars, motorcycles, hunting, walking, long drives and the beach.
He was the loving father of Richard A. Bird of Reading, Sharon Barker and her husband Thomas of Merrimack, NH and Robert Bird and his wife Linda of Reading, and is further survived by his grandchildren: Shawn, Michael and Megan Bird. Visiting hours will be held in the Costello Funeral Home , 177 Washington St., Winchester, MA on Tuesday Feb. 4 from 4-8PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment is private.
