Obituary
Richard "Dick" Coakley, 85, of Winchester, passed away at Winchester Hospital on August 1, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Ruth (Peel) Coakley and the loving father of Richard J. Coakley of ME, Laura (Kevin) Pickett of Wilmington, Jane Coakley of Dunbarton, NH, Martha (Mark) Fraser of Woburn, Maryruth (Paul) Carriere of Woburn, Katie (Michael) Naylor of Sumter, SC, and Amy (Jamie) Mabardy of Winchester. He was the dear brother of the late John R. Coakley is further survived by 23 grandchildren, including the late Richard W. Coakley, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Wed., Aug. 6 @ 9AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester at 10AM. Interment is private. Visiting Hours will be held in the funeral home on Tues. from 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Winchester Sports Foundation P.O. Box 493, Winchester, MA 01890. Late Veteran U.S Army Korea.
